Fashionably dressed,
fruit cut and juiced
on stone tables in Scottish forests.
“Are we fairies or witches?”
The barefoot earth replies:
You are both, and all, tonight.
Bellies full of laughter.
Hearts warm.
The charm that lasts.
A story to be told,
passed down for generations,
of how bold she was to say yes.
Not to impress.
She knew it wasn’t a test,
but an invitation:
to dance in sheer lace under moonlight,
to be reborn in power,
to sip sobriety from her chalice cup.
She was always,
and forever,
enough.
